La exposición Doce artistas en el Museo del Prado reúne los veinticuatro trabajos realizados por una serie de artistas mujeres, todas ellas nombres indispensables en la creación contemporánea, y pertenecientes a distintas generaciones y estilos: Isabel Baquedano , Carmen Calvo , Naia del Castillo , Cristina García Rodero , Cristina Iglesias , Carmen Laffón , Ouka Leele , Eva Lootz , Blanca Muñoz , Isabel Quintanilla , Soledad Sevilla y Susana Solano .
Cada una ha realizado dos obras seriadas-aguafuertes, litografías, serigrafías o fotografías cuya directa fuente de inspiración ha sido el Museo del Prado.

El objetivo fundamental de esta muestra es incentivar la reflexión sobre el patente diálogo que se establece entre el arte del pasado y el presente, mostrando al público la gran presencia de los maestros antiguos en la producción de los artistas contemporáneos.

The exhibition "Tweleve artists in the Prado Museum" unites the twenty four works realized by a series of female artists, all of whom are indispensable in contemporary art today, and who pertain to distinct generations and styles: Isabel Baquedano , Carmen Calvo , Naia del Castillo , Cristina García Rodero , Cristina Iglesias , Carmen Laffón , Ouka Leele , Eva Lootz , Blanca Muñoz , Isabel Quintanilla , Soledad Sevilla y Susana Solano. Each artist has realized two serial works-etchings, lithographs, photographs whose direct source of inspiraction has been the Prado Museum.

The fundamental objective of this show is to instigate a reflection on the potent dialogue that is established between the art of the past and the present, demonstrating to the public the grand presence of the old masters in the work of contemporary artists.
